  • Visit the Venice Community Adult School website  or the Abe-Friedman Occupational Center Website for information on Automotive, Construction, Computer Technology, Machinist, and other trade programs (Must be at least 16 years old)



WORK PERMIT - INSTRUCTIONS

Work
Permit Applications (B1-1 form):   During the regular school year you may obtain a Work Permit Application (B1-1 form) by visiting the Career Center J109 A from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.  Please be sure to attach a copy of one of the following when you submit your application:  Birth Certificate, Passport, Driver's License, California ID, or Permanent Resident Card.  A copy of your Social Security Card is not required.

Vacation Work Permits:  Beginning on June 28, 2010 through September 10th, 2010, Work Permit Applications may be obtained and processed in the Human Resources office on the first floor of the "A" building. Please contact Erik Hinders (310-230-5020) in the Human Resources office for more information.

Entertainment Permits:  You may obtain an Entertainment Permit Application (DLSE Form) by visiting the Career Center J109 A from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.  Please submit the Entertainment Permits to Ms. Chock in the Counseling  Office for school review, and then deliver directly to your local CA Division of Labor Standards Enforcement Office for processing.
