Girls Track & Field Win First City Track & Field Title in Pali History
Pali's Girls Track team brought home their first ever City Title from the championship meet held at Birmingham High School on May 27th. Senior Erika Martin won first place in the 100-meter hurdles, 4th in long jump, 4th in the 200-meter dash, and 7th in high jump. Senior Mariah Fisher-Kendrick came in 4th in high jump. Seniors Racquel Rochon and Lauren Gustafson, and junior Amber Greer took 5th place in the 4x400-meter relay. The future also looks bright for the team with freshman Kendall Gustafson winning the high jump and 300-meter hurdles, placing second in the long jump, and anchoring the 5th place 4x400 relay team, and freshman Jacklyn Bamberger winning the 3200 meter run. The total team points (1st place wins are 10 points, 2nd place 8 points, 3rd place 6 points, and so on) for Pali's team was 75; Carson High placed a distant second with 50 points. Varsity Girls Swim win City Section CIF Title

The Pali Girls Varsity Swim team defeated last year's champions from Cleveland High to win the City Championship held on May 21st at the John Argue Swim Stadium. This is an even more remarkable win considering that there are no divers on the Pali team, while diving is a scorable event in the championship. The Varsity Boys team were just two points shy of the City Runner-up spot, their best achievement in four years.
The swim team was led by was led by Coach Blakis and Coach King and team captains Hayley Hacker, Ana Silka, John Cullen and Wyatt Elliott.
