Principal's Welcome

Welcome to the 2011-12 school year! I am honored to be joining Palisades Charter High School as Principal/Chief Administrative Officer at such an important time in the school's history. This is a monumental year for all Dolphins in that we are celebrating the school's 50th anniversary. The longstanding PCHS tradition of excellence in academics, arts, athletics, and community involvement firmly established in the 1960's is stronger than ever in 2011. I hope to see you at the exciting celebratory community events organized by the PCHS 50th Anniversary Committee. Be sure to check the school calendar for dates and times of 50th Anniversary activities.

Throughout the 2011-12 school year, PCHS will be engaged in a comprehensive self-study as we complete the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) six-year accreditation process. The accreditation process verifies that our school is meeting the high educational standards that are essential for our students' preparation for post-secondary educational and career opportunities. The WASC self-study requires the participation of all school stakeholders in an assessment of our school's effectiveness to determine our goals for the future. In the coming weeks, members of the school community will be invited to share their observations and recommendations for PCHS through surveys and focus groups as we concentrate on making our outstanding school even more successful at meeting the Palisades Charter High School Mission: To educate our diverse students by developing their skills and talents to help them make positive contributions to our global society.

It is a tremendous honor to be part of this vibrant community. I know many of you share my enthusiasm and optimism for the coming year, and I know we will celebrate many achievements together in the year ahead.
