**PCHS School Bus Registration for 2019-20**

 We strongly encourage you to read our entire FAQs & Bus Rules to fully understand how the PCHS School Bus Program operates. 

 

FINANCIAL AID: The 2018-19 PCHS School Bus Scholarship application submittal time period has passed. The scholarship request system is no longer accepting new applications and is no longer available to access for new applications. All scholarship funds have been allocated and unfortunately, at this time we have no additional scholarship funds. If you still need some school bus financial aid, please email BusAppeal@palihigh.org and tell us why you need financial assistance.  The 2019-20 school year PCHS School Bus Program scholarship application time period will be March 1, 2019, through March 17, 2019.

 

The PCHS School Bus Registration period for 2018-19 is closed. The Registration & Scholarship Application timeframe for the 2019-20 school year will be open from March 1, 2019, through March 17, 2019. Those that have properly Registered AND Properly Paid for the 2019-20 PCHS School Bus Program as of the March 17, 2019 deadline will get first consideration for all availability of their Primary and Secondary requests for stops. Only after those fully and timely registered/paid students have been accommodated will we then look to people who have registered late or paid late to see if availability still exists. An additional consideration for bus available for those that registered late or paid late will not take place until at least April 2019. 

 

After the registration window closes on March 17, 2019, at 3:00 pm, no additional registrations will be automatically accepted after this date. Registrations after March 17, 2019, will be considered, but will be handled on an as available seat basis, they will not automatically be accepted.

   

Registration for the PCHS School Bus Program is a THREE STEP process:

1. Fill out the online Registration form HERE /Rellene el formulario de inscripción AQUÍ

  1. You should have received an email informing you that Registration for the PCHS School Bus Program is now open. You can find your students' ID # in this email.
2. Make a payment via Infinite Campus
  1. Click HERE to access Infinite Campus.
  2. To pay online for the PCHS School Bus you will need an Infinite Campus account. You can find instructions on how to pay through Infinite Campus HERE. 
    1. New students should have received an email with an invitation to create an Infinite Campus account (be sure to check your spam folder!). If you need help setting up your Infinite Campus account, contact dolphinupdates@palihigh.org. 
  3. If you prefer to pay by check, all checks should be made payable to “Palisades Charter High School”  with your student's name in the Memo Line, and be mailed or delivered to PCHS c/o the Transportation Dept.
  4. Any questions you have regarding the PCHS School Bus Online Payment System should be directed to the PCHS Transportation Coordinator, Susan Darvish at (310) 230-6631, or sdarvish@palihigh.org.  
3. If desired, apply for financial aid.

Payment: PCHS School Bus Registration will close on March 17, 2019, at which point first and last month's down payment (2 x $225 = $450)  would ideally have already been made so desired stop selection can be finalized and reserve your student’s bus stop/seat.

  • Transportation for an entire school year costs $2,250 and there are no full-year payment discounts.
  • By March 17, 2019, you must pay you must pay your first and last month's down-payments of 2 x $225 = $450, or a full year's payment of $2,250, to finalized and reserve your student’s bus stop/seat.
  • 2019-20 Registered bus riders MAY wait to make their first and last month’s down-payments until May 31st, 2019 – However, not making your first and last month’s down-payments in full until after March 17, 2019, will not ensure your prioritized Stop selection will be finalized as of March 17, 2019. Finalization of Stop selection is done once the student is fully/properly Registered AND fully/properly have paid their first and last month’s down-payments.

  • Parents can elect to pay monthly with the $2,250 cost divided evenly across 10 months of the school year making each month’s payment $225/month. However, you must make an initial payment of the first and last month's down-payments.

Note for families paying monthly: This monthly fee is not based upon a “per ride” or “per week/month” fee but a total payment for the year of $2,250 divided equally in 10 increments of $225 each. Even though students will be riding the bus for only part of August, November, December, January and also three weeks in the month of April due to Spring Break, the transportation fee is still $225 per month for all 10 months starting in August. If your student is not taking the school bus for part of the month, or the entire month, you are still obligated to pay for the entire month. Once you make a payment, there will be no refund unless your student is no longer attending PCHS. 

If you initially pay for the entire year up-front, you will not receive any notices for transportation payments due for the remainder of the school year. If you pay only the initial first and last month’s payments, or something else above that but less than the full year payment, you will be set on an appropriate payment plan in which you will receive an email reminder when your next payment is due.  For monthly payments, you should receive your payment notice in the middle of the month preceding the month where a payment is due. Each month’s payment is due no later than the 5th calendar day for each month!
